I live in a world that is deeply rooted in systemic racism, sexism, and xenophobia. These issues are pervasive and insidious, affecting every aspect of our society, not only individuals, but whole communities. They are perpetuated by a culture that values profit over people and is obsessed with power and control. It is a world where misinformation and fake news can have deadly consequences, and where sustainability is often an afterthought. A world where there is a lack of awareness of privilege, that blinds us to see the struggles of 90%.
And yet, despite all this, I'd like to believe there is hope. There are those who stand up and speak out against these injustices, demanding change and pushing for a better future. As a designer, I am committed to using my skills to create products that challenge harmful beliefs, promote equality, and foster inclusivity.
I believe that through design, we can create a world that is free from racism, sexism, and xenophobia. A world that is sustainable, just, and equitable and accesible for all. And I am not alone. There are countless designers who share this vision and use their creativity and skills to make a positive impact in society. Together, we can create a world that is more compassionate and more understanding. Even if that means making a small change in corporations where we usually work.
